Touring off the back of the Sisso compilation (now available on vinyl), producer  Bampa Pana and MC Makavelli visit UK + EU this spring / summer to explode dance floor hive-minds. The duo are known for having mixed up their own unique interpretation of singeli traditional dance. A style resembling that of UK created drum n bass and jungle music, yet the youth of Tanzania, have most certainly never heard that before.

The music comes as a result of long evolving tape culture and outdated music production suites popping up all over Tanzania. The Sisso studio best represents this popular source of dancefloor hype. Nyege Nyege Tapes presented the tape compilation Sounds of Sisso in 2017, to roaring fanfare across the underground electronic new music press. They performed to a capacity crowd at CTM Berlin this February, in Berghain’s Panorama Bar.

Sisso sold out every date of their UK tour in April 2018 and received coverage in Songlines and radio support across various electronic music platforms.
